SlimKirby's 3rd-Year Anniversary Special (Part 1 of 3)
Note: You may have to adjust your volume throughout these videos (maybe not though). Due to the nature of this video and the way I retrieved the clips, the volume is either going to be low or somewhat shrieky. I adjusted it as best as I could. Hello everybody, SlimKirby here and welcome to my 3rd-year anniversary special! A few months ago, I asked my viewers and subscribers to name me their favorite moments from my channel and videos. Then, I combined a large majority of those comments with a few favorite moments of my own to create this 32 minute special. This special took a lot of work to complete and it didn't help that I had a lot of other things to do in the process. For the most part though, I liked how it turned out, even though it was delayed quite a bit (originally planned to be 10000 subscriber special back in May and then planned for a July 4th release (and it's now the 7th)). Thanks to everyone who contributed in their own way, and even if you didn't, or if I didn't acknowledge your contribution in some way, I appreciate the support nonetheless. That's right! A full Let's Play in just one day! What game is it? Upon thumbnail review, it may be obvious at first, but it's actually a little flash game. Welcome to Super Mario Bros. Crossover, a blend of a Mario styled game with other famous NES heroes including Link, Samus, Mega Man, Simon Belmont, and Bill Rizer. Take these classic, retro heroes through the eight familiar worlds of Super Mario Bros., using their classic weapons and their replicated control schemes. If you would like to try this game out, here is a link to it on Newgrounds! www.newgrounds.com I played the game with a gamepad, but you can also play the game with the keyboard (although it makes it a better harder (still possible though). Basically, I was originally planning to release a clip show of my time here at Youtube, but unfortunately that idea never came to fruition due to the amount of work needed. However, I can assure you guys that I will have a clip show ready for my 3rd year anniversary special (which will happen in early July). Basically, I decided to do this instead because you guys subscribed to me for my playthroughs, so what better way to celebrate a subscriber milestone than with a playthrough? WARNING! WARNING! For all of you people who just so happen to like Peach, please don't take what I say too offensively. These are my own personal opinions, slightly exaggerated and dramatized to fit the nature of the video and the song. Wow, it has been awhile since I made a SlimKirby Sings part. Although I normally sing a lot in my normal videos as it is, there hasn't been a video in awhile that was just singing...so let this be one of them! =P Quick story behind the idea of this video...one night, me and a few of my chat friends were talking about.....something. I don't remember what exactly, but it involved Peach and everybody hating her. So at one point, I just randomly blurted out "I should make an anti-Peach song to the tune of Peach's Birthday Cake!" And then, MadameWario jumped in on that immediately and was all like "YES! DO THAT! THAT WOULD BE SO FIERCE AND PIMP!" (not an actual quote, but that seems like something she would say). So, feeling creative, I immediately started writing down lyrics and ended up making quite a bit of progress on the song I was originally just joking about. SlimKirby's Spring 2012 Update Video
Here is a summary of everything I talked about! 1. Break - I am going on a small break for the rest of this week and next week. The break starts today and lasts until April 2nd. This break will not effect Sixty-Four Hours of 64 in any way. 2. Upcoming Projects: - Kirby's Epic Yarn will start on Monday, April 2nd and will be uploaded every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. - A secret project (Let's Play/Playthrough #50) will be starting on Tuesday, April 3rd, and will be uploaded every Tuesday, Thursday, and maybe Saturday. 3. Weekend Projects: - Sixty-Four Hours of 64 will continue to be every Saturday and Sunday until I finish the series. I will be unable to stream on the weekend of April 7th and 8th, so there will be no event that weekend. - The weekend mini-project series will be on a hiatus for awhile. It may return after the following project, or it may return in the summer. - My next weekend project will be Pac-Man Party! The estimated starting weekend will be the weekend of the 28th and 29th, but regardless of what it is, it will be the weekend after the last Sixty-Four Hours stream. 4. Other Future Projects: - Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie's Double Trouble will replace Kirby's Epic Yarn when that project completely finishes. - I am aiming for my Mario Party 9 playthrough to be held in summer, no earlier.
